• Another very important aspect is taking photos of the accident site. You should never, ever rely on the photos taken by the police personnel, as they may not cover some major angle and this may work against your damage claims. This is the reason why many experts suggest that you should carry a small camera with you in a car. Take as many pictures as you can, from different angles and distances. These would prove to be a great asset in making a car insurance claim.
• After the accident, there is some information that needs to be exchanged between drivers, such as name, residential address, contact number, date of birth, license number with expiration date, the lowest car insurance company’s name and contact details and the description of the vehicles involved. All this information can be easily found on the vehicle registration papers and driving license.
